McCracken move

BLACKBURN-BASED confectioner Glisten has appointed a business colleague of the Prince of Wales as a non-executive director.

Guy McCracken, currently chairman of Duchy Original Ltd, the food company founded by the Prince, has taken his position with immediate effect. Mr McCracken was also formerly a joint-managing director of Marks and Spencer.

Jeremy Hamer, non-executive director, said: "We are delighted to have somebody of Guy's huge experience and expertise joining the board."

Glisten, founded in 2001, is a manufacturer of chocolate and sugar-based confectionery, decorations and ingredients.
